Tramy Joins the RNA Biopesticide Innovation AlliancePublish Time:2026-05-06 10:10

Tramy has officially joined the national RNA Animal and Plant Protectant (Biomanufacturing) Innovation Industry Alliance, marking a major step forward in the company’s layout of low-carbon, green and intelligent agricultural production. The membership was formally confirmed during the recent RNA Green Agricultural Technology Innovation and Development Exchange Conference held in Pudong, Shanghai, where Tramy signed up to deep collaboration with top research institutions and leading agricultural technology enterprises across the country to accelerate the industrial rollout and large-scale application of RNA-based green plant protection solutions.

RNA bioprotectants represent a new generation of eco-friendly biopesticides built on RNA interference technology, widely recognised as a core technological breakthrough driving the “third revolution in plant protection”. The technology was listed among the Top 10 Scientific Breakthroughs by Science in 2024 and is strongly supported in national agricultural innovation strategic plans. The RNA-based products precisely target pest and pathogen-specific genes while posing no risks to human health, livestock, beneficial insects or crops. They degrade rapidly in natural environments with zero chemical residues, fully complying with organic planting standards and low-carbon agricultural development goals. In addition, genetic-level pest suppression greatly reduces the risk of pesticide resistance, and the versatile platform can be engineered into insecticidal, fungicidal and antiviral formulations suitable for grain crops, fruits, vegetables and other major agricultural commodities.

Launched in April 2024, the RNA Animal and Plant Protectant (Biomanufacturing) Innovation Industry Alliance brings together leading biochemical and agricultural manufacturers to jointly advance original research, biomanufacturing upgrading and standardised field promotion. Tramy has joined the alliance alongside a new cohort of high-quality industrial partners, including Xinnong Chemical, Sanpu Baicao, Kesheng Group and Jinwang Intelligence. The expanded alliance ecosystem will further strengthen integrated industry-university-research innovation capacity, accelerate the iteration and optimisation of low-cost, large-scale RNA production processes, and promote safer, greener and more sustainable plant protection systems for modern agriculture.
